Never Giving Up on Dreams — The Spirit of “Be Human” Learned from Studying in Japan (Yokkaichi University Lecture Report)

In the 2025 academic year, I had the honor of being invited as a guest lecturer for the 8th session of “Be Human II” and “Human Rights Studies” at Yokkaichi University.

The theme of my lecture was:

“Never Giving Up on Dreams — The Spirit of ‘Be Human’ Learned from Studying in Japan.”

It was truly a privilege to have the opportunity to speak directly with the students.

■ About the Lecture

During the lecture, I shared my personal journey and experiences, focusing on the following points:

The background behind my decision to study in Japan

The realities and challenges I faced in a foreign country

How I overcame language, cultural, and environmental barriers

My journey toward starting a business

What the phrase “Be Human” truly means

I especially emphasized to the students that:

“Dreams are not easy to achieve, but as long as you don’t give up, the possibility of making them real always remains.”

■ My Interpretation of “Be Human”

The phrase “Be Human,” which is also the theme of the course, is not just about ideals or morality.

To me, it means:

“Having the strength to stay true to your beliefs and move forward while respecting others, even in difficult situations.”

Through my life and business experience in Japan, I have realized that beyond skills and knowledge,

what truly matters is how you conduct yourself as a human being.

■ Message to the Students

At the end of the lecture, I shared a few important messages with the students:

Failure is not something to avoid, but something to learn from

Don’t blame your environment—make your own choices

Keep taking action, even if it’s small

And most importantly:

“Just having a dream and holding onto it already has great value.”

■ After the Lecture

After the session, I received many thoughtful questions from the students, making it a very meaningful experience.

If my story was able to inspire even one person to take a step forward, I consider that a great success.

Moving forward, I hope to continue contributing not only through business but also through educational opportunities like this,

sharing the importance of growing as a human being.
